Afghanistan

Afghanistan is still featuring in world news due to the current war. The outlook is still looking unsure both economically and politically as the relatively new government tries to gain credibility both locally and internationally.

The price of Opium has soared in 2011 and its been reported that as much as 9% of Afghanistan's GDP comes from the illegal crop.

The rest furore of the US soldiers urinating over Taliban fighters has been circulating across the major news channels. US armed forces in the country are on a heightened state of alert. Some of the soldiers filmed in the incident have been identified and the US Armey will conduct a full investigation into the incident.
